I just checked other non clustered non SP1 W2K8 R2 servers. All Windows 2008 R2 SP1 servers are fine. Command rendom /clean deleted referencies to old domain so the workstations were not able to rename automatically after this cleanup. Thus, we can control which ports RPC is using so that the Firewall can be configured the same way.

I also confirmed that the workstation can, in fact, PING all DC's in it's site including the one in #2 above. The name of the account referenced in the security database is DOMAINMEMBER$. The disk was replaced, the operating system reinstalled, rebooted into Directory Services Restore Mode and the System State restored. The servers were not cloned from DC1.
We can also ping the FQDN for all DC's. Event Id 3210 Netlogon Windows 7 The name of the account referenced in the security database is AccountName$. There seems to be no problem authenticating to DC-1, but all the XP/2000 workstation in our environment are having problems authenticating to DC-2 and DC-3. See ME142869 to resolve this problem.
